Those Big Feelings

Feeling all out of juice when it comes to dealing with your child’s feelings? Meltdown morning in your house? Those Big Feelings provides tips and support for working creatively with feelings that can bubble and put a downer on the day.

This tutorial uses water bottles, your hands, a lamp and a whole lot of magic to teach you all you need to do about creating shadow theatre on the walls of your home! This is our favourite! This is a principle of spontaneous improvisation in drama. But don’t worry! We are not asking you to take to the stage. We have adapted the core ideas which help actors to keep the drama ‘moving forward’ into a neat little video on how you can spark fantastic and exciting adventures through play with your little one.

This one to one coaching session unpacks the issues affecting play or learning in your house and gives you a easy to following, personalised, workable solutions that you can use straight away to turn things around. Typical issues are around home learning, ‘closed down’ play, changes in how play is presenting or shifts in play dynamics… often a mix of all of them! Together, we unpack them find a way forward, with you and your families well-being at the centre of every step.  A refresh and reload session involves a 25 minute consultation and a pesonalised play plan. Refresh and Reload families can also purchase a ‘coffee and catch up’ voucher for £15.00. This voucher can be redeemed for a 20 minute trouble shooting session at any time during the 12 month period after the session. 

So, what is a REFRESH AND RELOAD?

On the phone, I will

• Suggest some things that you can try straight away after we hang up

• Talk through where I believe the plan will go and what approach we will take moving forward (discovery learning, emotional literacy, problem solving)

Within 24 hours I will then:

• Email you with your full, bespoke plan

• Check in to see how you are

I won’t leave you there, I promise! All our families are offered a ‘coffee and catch up’ session. For just £15 you can have a 25 minute ‘trouble shooting’ session which can be used up to 12 months after your initial R and R. Things can slip, situations change or you simply need a refresher. I’ll be there.

If you're 'not one for role play'... The Anti-Arty party is for you! Share group sessions with mums, dads or care givers online and support each other in your new adventure into creative play. Let's break down some walls and make friends in the process. After we’ve finished our sessions, you will also have access to private Facebook group just for Anti- Arty Party People.

THE RAINY DAY PLAY SESSION

How to make the ordinary extraordinary for your little ones! It's raining, you had outdoor plans, your little hurricane is ready for action... sound familiar? The Rainy Day Play Toolkit will support you to make your hands into an underwater world, create shadow theatre, their books leap off the page and transform your indoor world at home. No experience necessary! Simply take what is lying around the home and we'll take it from there together.
